Ive been running a 32f ring with 36r on a 1×10 setup but tbh I spin out too easily on the trails around here so I’ve put on a 34f and a 38r. In practice I cant really tell the difference when using the easiest combination of front and rear gears but is there any difference?
    What do the maths say?
For climbing am I better off with 32×36 or 34×38 or even 34×40?

    Thanks Naffa

You are spinning out – presumably on the 11T – means you need a bigger chainring.

If you need lower gears – for climbing – then a larger cassette and/or a smaller chainring.

Thanks for the direction to bikecalc. If Ive used it correctly ive calculated that using 26″x2.1″ wheel/tyre combo a 38fx34r gives me the same distance per revolution as 36fx32r = 23.4″
