    Want to run full outer to rear mech on a new DH bike. What kit would folk recommend?

    Or if I'm buying it separately what do I need?{normally get my mate to chang over gear cables – for a pint or two!!}

    the outer, the inner and cable ends? Is that it?

    Shimano SP41 (Dura-ace/XTR) outer, some ferrules and an inner cable. CRC for cables, ebay/lbs for ferrules

    If you want to colour co-ordinate you could get a Jagwire set. There's a few on Woolly Hat Shop for about £20.
