Gear cable inners – Geax / Wilkos etc vs Shimano – any difference?

I’ve always bought cheap inners, under £2 if possible. Is there any reason to buy shimano or other more expensive ones, does anyone really notice the difference long term?

Thanks, ordered 8. Not sure they’ll “last for years”, or if they do, they’ll be stuck inside some seriously corroded outers by then…
