Think I might have just claimed this, any objections? 🙂

I did it 15 years ago but I can’t actually prove it. 😉

You can claim the it but there have been several prolific lakes riders and a few MUni meet ups there so I think you need a little more evidence.

Not sure if these guys are still going:

    Was it any good?

Yeah, it was quite good actually. Deep snow. I’d usually be on my bike, but my Duke of Edinburgh group were going out and I find walking incredibly boring!

Is it wrong that I really want a unicycle after looking at the Cumbria Muni website? 😆

not at all. Once you get over over the clown thing its great fun. Good challenge and exercise.

Go and Google some Kris Holm videos for inspiration

Is that a 24? What tyre are you using?

Never anything wrong with wanting a uni, though if you want more inspiration than a couple of photos, try these for a start

(most of us will never get anywhere near as good as Kris in the last link, hence the links to unigeezer who still does incredible stuff, but a level that in theory most of us could attain if we put in as much time as he has).

I’ve got the Kris Holme video ‘into the thunder dragon’ about unicycling in Bhutan. It’s a 20″, I think. Maxxis Max Daddy tyre; seems to work pretty well.

20″? 😯 A bigger wheel would doubtless work a lot better in that terrain (if you got down on a 20, then I’d be very surprised if it hadn’t been done before on a 24 or 26). Unless of course you’re just hopping your way down…

Dunno, felt about right to be honest. Rolled the majority. I might move to 650B to get the right compromise between acceleration and rolling momentum though… 😉

29 is what you want although “in my day” 24×3 was what you needed. I checked and I did ride that one I’m afraid

my Duke of Edinburgh group were going out

I would have hoped with them out you might have had a bit more kit with you….
    (fair play BTW!)
