The rear tabs on my garmin edge 500 snapped off the other day so it wont stay on the twist mount it comes with.

I am currently taping it to my stem. I can glue it to the mount but this is a last resort. I have also lost the tabs so i cant glue them back on.

Looks like a fairly common problem after a quick search on the interwebs.

I cant find anywhere that sells replacement back covers, the most common fix from what i can find is to send it back to garmin and they send a refurb one back, for a tidy sum. I have not contacted them yet though so cant confirm this.

Anyone else had this problem and solved it?

I’ve heard in warranty Garmin are very good and also do something outside so worth getting in touch with them.

Same happened to my recently. Thankfully Garmin sorted it under warranty after the weeks of emailing them with no response.

It’s a really poor design and it seems to be a regular occurrence.

I had seen the backs for sale on ebay.com (from the US)
