I’ve been lent a Garmin 201 to test out. I’m Mac based so have the serial to USB leads etc. Problem is that the Garmin Connect doesn’t see or can’t find the device. It’s not the leads because the Mac ‘about info’ windows detects the device. My pal says that there’s a converter – Anyone got any ideas?

you may need to check the comms protocol on the forerunner is set to NMEA and the baud rate is correct.

Clarence, how would I check the band rate is correct? I looked at link and it was above me.
Thanks composite for the link, yep I reckon I pushed all the right download / plugin buttons on the Garmin connect site. The garmin is 3.7 2003 – 2004. Does anyone think that it may need an update patch or something. Cheers.
