Don’t suppose anyone has a broken Edge 305 with an intact LCD screen lying around that they would part with for a few quid?

The LCD on mine is slightly damaged but everything else is working perfectly,

You know that Garmin UK will do a service exchange for ~£70 don’t you?

I’ve emailed Garmin and they have quoted £80 plus £8 postage.

I could buy a secondhand one with accessories for that sort of money so not really tempted!

Yes – I’ve got one. Had a go at fixing mine when I had the issue with loose battery connection. It no longer gets a satellite fix so I must have knackered something with my hamfisted repair. Screen is fine. £12 posted? Do you also want the HRM strap for another £10?
