Having built a workshop at the end of a 50m garden, I could really use some way of lighting the garden path at night, to avoid stepping on our cats who seem to like sitting wherever you’re trying to walk. Best I’ve come up with so far is a set of 12v lights on fence posts down the path eg these:

    Any other bright ideas?

Fireflies on strings. Make sure the string is long enough so that the cats can’t reach. Or put a moat around each string. You may need air defences to combat bat attacks on your flies – perhaps a few carefully positioned blimps/zeppelins.

I’ve got a 500W PIR on the house and a smaller one on the workshop, but they waste a lot of leccy and only come on when you get close to them. Hence I was thinking LED lights on each fence post the whole way down the path….

    Now we’re getting somewhere!
