    Longtime since I used a Classic but I know theres a nack/procedure to bleed off the air/steam pressure to avoid the water spitting out of the espresso nozel(s) when you operate this function.

    Can anyone bring me upto speed???

    that’s because you haven’t used it and have to prime the pump.
