XTR M970 Rear Mech 9 Speed Rapid Rise Mid Cage:-

The condition is reasonable with a few minor scratches to the main body of the mech, but all functioning fine with brand new jockey wheels - £40.00 posted, or make me a close offer.

XTR M960 Rear Mech 9 Speed Rapid Rise Mid Cage:-

The condition is good with barely any scratches to the main body of the mech, functioning fine - £35.00 posted, or make me a close offer.

Squeaky intrested in the 970. Whats the difference though?

I've owned a M952 XTR for over a decade- is mine rapid rise?

The M970 is a newer XTR version than the M960.

I doubt your M952 is rapid rise, basically the rear mech is sprung the other way to a normal mech. When the gear cable is not attached it rests at the largest sprocket not the smallest.

I personally preferred shifting this way, its a individual choice thing really.

No probs, it did take a while to get used too, but changing back to a 'normal' mech has been awful.

Rustic the M960 is now sold, but the M970 which I think might actually be M971 is still for sale.
