As an early adopter of technology I occasionally get my fingers burnt. In the early days of HD there were two formats - High Definition & Blu Ray. As these two competing formats battled it out I went for the Toshiba's High Definition.... two weeks later Blu Ray won the battle and my expensive investment plunged from a £220 latest tech player to a £70 Amazon bargain. It was VHS vs Betamax all over again! And like then the better format didn't win out (everyone knows that Betamax was a better format right?).
HD DVDs are still available and I managed to collect 15 of them. They are becoming harder to find although Amazon still has a shrinking collection. The HD-EP30 plays ordinary DVDs just fine so the machine will work as a perfectly good upscaling DVD player. And then there's my collection of films on top.
So here we have it. £70 if collected or £85 posted.
Collection would be from the Singletrack office in Todmorden.
