With great regret I'm putting my S-Works Epic up for sale. It's been my pride and joy for the last three years, but I'm doing more road riding now than mountain biking so it's been sat gathering dust. I've owned it from new when I built it in summer 2006.

The bike is in perfect mechanical condition, no expense has been spared with this. It had a new set of suspension bearings all round in 2007 and has probably been ridden half a dozen times since. The front and rear suspension was overhauled at the same time as well as the wheels rebuilt with new rims, spokes and bearings. I've given it a complete strip and rebuild prior to putting it up for sale.
Obviously, it's a mountain bike, it's been ridden and so bears the marks of this in a variety of cosmetic scratches. I've tried to show as much of this as possible in the photographs. The bike has been used but not abused.
It rides fantastically, fast and quick handling, a perfect XC race or marathon bike. It weighs in around 25 to 26lbs depending on the tyres on it.
The frame is a Large. I'm 6'2" with a 33" inside leg and it's obviously perfect for me. I'd guess it would suit from 5'10" to 6'5" but any prospective purchaser is welcome to come and try it. A test ride will require the full asking price in cash as a deposit.
All manuals are present, and I've also got all the receipts for pretty much everything as well. It cost something in the region of £3500 to build in 2006 and looking at current prices would cost about that to build new now. I see that the current S-Works Epic is £4500.
I'm looking for £1750.

Please email in the first instance, and I'll give you my mobile number.
I'm located in Solihull, near Birmingham.
As stated above, viewings are more than welcome and so are test rides.
I will require the full asking price in cash before a test ride.
As far as purchase goes, cash or direct bank transfer. Cheques are a pain (and you don't get to ride away there and then :-)) and Paypal fees will be too steep.
I'm happy to deliver for a cost of 40p per mile up to 50 miles (100 mile round trip), but I'd really rather not post it. Haven't got access to packaging materials for a complete bike and it'd cost a fair bit.
