Have 2 pairs of 100mm RC39 forks. Both are worn out, but the insides and lowers are OK.
The first is from the first year of manufacture (2005 or so). They are gold stanchion, and the early type lowers. The stanchions are very worn, and on their last ride one leg filled with water and lost all but 20mm of travel. They were then cleaned and stored for 2-3 years. The lowers are good, and have been double bushed at the top (to try to prolong the life of the stanchions). They will need new seals. The air chamber holds air OK and is smooth and unworn. The lockout cable is OK. The forks work OK, and the lockout works OK, but they are not smooth and plush, and they are not an all weather fork (as they can fill with water). The lowers are not compatible with the later black stanchion forks.
The 2nd pair are very similar, but are the later black stanchion type. These are really really worn (the stanchions are absolutely fecked). However the lowers are fine, and they had seals a year ago (but these are probably knackered by the stanchions). Again, the lockout works OK, and they hold air fine. The lowers are not compatible with old type gold stanchion forks.
Open to offers, and would prefer pickup from Warwick/Coventry (or Kielder at the K100, or Thetford at the D2D), but could post for £7 extra. Offers etc - please email. I haven't got pics yet, but do you really want pics (the forks are knackered, and look it)?
