Two of the best bike accessories I've owned!
I'm moving house and my new commute will mean driving the VW t4 everyday will just not be that sensible. Luckily, I'll be living in Innerleithen and so next to the trails I've been driving to for years.
My Wife, however, will be living much closer to work and so we're also selling our VW Golf Estate....
Here's info on both.
My T4 has been a superb bike van for the past couple of years and truly the best bike accessory I've ever bought. It's a bit tatty on the outside with some surface rust around the sills and wheel arches but the engine has never let me down. Drives great.
Details:
2.5 TDI Carevelle
Yr: 1996 (P reg)
Minty green
161k
Middle row of seats taken out - now a 5 seater... 2 in the front and a 3 seat bench in the back
rear bench seat fold forward flat and I've put in a folding ply parcel shelf that opens out to make a double bed - using a 3 piece mattress (180cm x 120cm total).
There's also a mini kitchen unit I've built in the back with a 2 ring stove and grill and a wee cupboard for your pots and food and gas bottle.
Been on many a weekend away with the bikes in this thing and it's a great day van too, giving you easy space to get changed and make yourself a cuppa once you've finished a ride as well as a place to kip if you fancy making a weekend of it. Would probably benefit from swivel plates for the front seats to make the perfect living space.
Also comes with a fiamma carry-bike rack for 4 bikes at the back (though it could do with some new straps). Tailgate struts have been uprated to hold the boot up with the bike rack on.
Just sailed through the MOT and had a service... got 6 months tax on it too.
Moving house in 2 weeks and then will be selling it for around 2.5k

133,000 miles on it. but still runs lovely.
Serviced and MOTed ... with new tyres, in Jan this year.
Taxed and Tested till Feb 2011
Looking for around £1500.
Anyone interested?
