I am importing a few of these: http://www.fjetech.com/supervag_k_and_can.html and have got them for approx £90 + delivery internally once they're here (pending getting stung for customs charges)
Just wondered if anyone else on here would be interested as I know a few of you lot own vehicles from the VAG group.

Handy because Audi (this is quoted from them) "do not have the equipment to recode the cluster" on my dads A6 he's just bought.
In quick summary, he bought the car with full main-stealer history and the odo is documented at 120,000 but the cluster shows 94k.
The immobiliser function is great though as it's unlikely that with a second hand car you'll get all the keys (as they're often "put away safe" (and lost/forgotten about) so instead of paying Audi £200+ to get your immob' code, you plug this in and it will read it for you. Happy days and always handy if you do any DIY work.
the diagnostics functions are similar to VCDS/Vagcom too, so you can do your thing without having to use a laptop.

(also, most modern VAG cars store the proper mileage in the ECU so even if you are just going to look at a car, a £95 tool is instant checking of ECU data.
I went to look at a car for someone recently described as 'excellent' the bodywork was mint, nice and straight - lovely infact. Plugging my vagcom kit in shows crash sensors had been activated on the front and the climate control blend motors were intermittent. £95 = they didn't buy the car when they would have without plugging this in.
Just bought a 2006 new shape Passat with a spare key fob that isn't yet programed for my car. Would this device be able to do this ?
Could be interested in one - need to go work out what they can/can't do to my car first.

You can code the remote itself without this, its easy enough to do
You would need the immoblizer code and a fresh transponder chip to code the immobilizer though.
This would help with that.
