Hey all,
Ive decided to advertise this once more before it goes on the Ebay over the weekend for the free listing.
Ive had the lens now for about 6 months, though looking at it it looks like new. No dents, scratchs, marks or blemishes. It performs faultlessly and if it wasent for my increasing fetish for primes Id be happy to keep it.
Im going to be honest and say the Canon 10-20mm is ultimately the daddy of wide angles, but Ive found this to be equal to if not sharper than Sigma's (both the original 10-22mm and their more expensive 12-24mm) The results have been very pleasing as it gives a nice background blur, is pretty quick with the focusing (I havent had any problems with it focusing in low light either) and it fits my Canon EOS film body for super wide angle photos.
The spec of the lens is as follows:
10-24mm LD (Low Dispersion glass) DiII (designed for digital cameras with APS-C sized sensors)
Equivalent of 16-37mm roughly in 35mm terms.
12 elements in 9 groups.
7 diaphragm aperture blades.
Comes complete with Hoya UV filter and Lowepro LC1N lens bag, perfect to attatching to another Lowepro bag or to carry in a rucksack. Also got the lens hood, instructions, warranty, box and all caps.
For a quick sale Ill accept £250 via Paypal and pay for insured postage. This seems to be more inline with Ebay currently for second hand versions of this lens.
