Due to a bit of late night (sober!) ebaying, I need to raise some cash for a Mesa/Boogie preamp...
As you might know, I play a bit of guitar, but I do more buying than playing, so it's time for some selling.
For Sale:
Guitar and bass dept
Warwick Corvette Fretless 4 string bass - rather like this:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/media_bdbviewer_AR_252394.html?image=2
Black swamp ash body, active preamp, fretless with flat wounds. £400 or £450 with a flight case. RRP is £1400 or so. I've got a fretted one too if you're really into BASS!
Carl Martin Red Repeat Delay guitar pedal - digital, analogue-sounding delay. Very ace, good nick. £79 new, £50 posted.
Carl Martin Octaswitch - http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Carl-Martin-Vintage-Series-Octaswitch/GRP
Like having a Bradshaw switching rig to operate up to eight loops of pedals in whatever combination you want. Great thing, only I bought a TC G-System about three months after buying it. £200 or so, sell for £150. True bypass and really easy to use (dipswitches instead of MIDI). Plus it has blue LEDs!
Wah-wah. Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah pedal. Good nick, all rubber feet intact etc. Just not a wah fan. £45 posted.
Tokai guitar amp: TA-35. Great Fender Champ copy by the Japanese masters, only it's solid state and has real spring reverb. Very cool little amps. 100V Japan version with step-up transformer. £200.
Home Brew Electronics - Power Screamer Distortion. Like this but red
http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/power-screamer-overdrive-wfat-boost-53-p.asp
Great distortion sound from 'grr!' to mental amp-meltdown sound. Plus extra 20db boost
£100
1973 Marshall Lead and Bass '2100' 50Watt combo. Rare, made for only three years, as favoured by Paul Weller. Owned by me for 25 years. Blimmin' loud and toney. £800 - collection only.
Non-guitar-based bike things below!
Salsa Casseroll road/touring bike frame and forks - champagne colour, has done fewer than 200 miles I reckon. I simply bought the wrong size. It's a 56cm, will suit 5ft 10+ riders. £175 frame and forks or £225 with the King headset.
Surly Steamroller - old school grey model (with 1in headset - I hear they're in again!) - complete bike. Steel frame and forks, fixed wheel (Surly flipflop fixie hubs on Halo rims), Schwalbe mega-unpuncture 700x27 tyres of some sort (one snakebite puncture in six years). Single Dura Ace single pivot front road brake, Spesh one finger chicken lever, super cool Profile wing bars. Planet X seat post, Cane Creek h/s. cranks are, er, can't remember actually, but nice square tapers, maybe old Ultegra?. 1/8th chain. Bog standard saddle, though a Brooks could be negotiated for a bit more. Gearing is 39 x 15 and/or 14 I think depending on the flip of the flop. The size is 52cm I think, but it has those wing bars on and fits my 5ft 9in self fine.
It's about six years old and has been my daily commuter for nearly all that time. Just not ridden it in the last year since moving up a steep hill! It's in good nick (what's going to go wrong with one?) and I've had it since before they were cool, so get a bargain with some provenance... £350 complete.
Rather like this, only less er... accessorised: http://static.lfgss.com/attachments/36210d1297781531-steamroller-sept-2010.jpg
Don't see what you like here? I might have something else in your size that'll suit (sir!).
Email me for details, photos and so on. Most of the bigger things I'd prefer collection or meeting you somewhere near, but we can probably get it to wherever you are in the UK.
Tune in soon for my retro jersey sell-off
