Yes, it's back, but now completely stripped of all adornments and components to avoid any doubt or confusion about what's on offer.
Pics are available on request as I have neither the patience nor the inclination to create another online account at the moment.
If the item gets no interest, it will be on Ebay this time next week.
So, as the title suggests, this is an 18" Orange 5 frame, with a rare (AFAIK) paint finish - Apple Green with additional sparkly lacquer. It's condition is generally very good but for a couple of wee rubs here and there, stupidly caused during rack-mounted transit or by cable contact. You may well wish to replace the brand decals too, as they are showing an urge to remove themselves. The photos will highlight this.
The frame comes WITH a shock - Fox Float RP23.
The bike was an impulse buy from a registered dealer on Hogmanay, 2008, and kept at work so that my (now ex-) GF didn't find out ("How much??" etc., etc.). As such, it didn't get used anywhere near as much as my imagination suggested at time of purchase. In addition, it is a beast capable of handling far rougher treatment than my timid riding style would ever subject it to. Safe to say, then, that I've never tested it beyond Carron Valley trails a couple of times, a windfarm access road and some urban and rural tarmac.
So, the reason I'm selling is 'cos I was over-biked and it was under-used. It is a very eye-catching frame, and I fell for its charm, but 'tis only a bike, and no point in getting too sentimental about, especially as no great adventures were shared.
Now to price.
My local Orange dealer has looked it over and suggested an asking price of £800, with postage of £25 on top of that if applicable.
I'm in central Glasgow, if viewing and/or pick-up are preferred. Delivery may be negotiable if to anywhere close to a corridor between Newton Stewart and Tain (via Glasgow) within the next two to three weeks.
email in profile, although I may be offline from Monday until Friday a.m.
Thank you for showing an interest and taking the time to read through - a bit wordy, I know, but it saves time on email responses and so on later.
Happy trails
Mike
