recently got a Kona Lisa frame from CRC and knew I needed a headset for it. On hols in Thailand I found the below headset in blingy red in a local bike shop, and a suspiciously cheap price for what it purports to be. An ozzy guy customer in the same shop who claimed to work in the trade reckoned it was legit and was considering buying a pile. If we'd been so convinced we would have filled a suitcase full and paid for the holiday!
Mr MC pulled it apart and is confident it is a fake, however as it is an alloy-cupped, sealed cartridge bearing headset, and looked exactly like an FSA the shop had on the same shelf (for the same price!) he reckoned it was worth the price regardless of label and was a nice match for my red frame. So I bought one on a punt for the Lisa.
Got it home to find my Lisa needs an integrated headset (probably something I should have checked first ), so I can't even use it (and both my MTBs also have integrated headsets otherwise it would have gone in my HT).
So, a new, red anodised, regular 1 1/8th headset with sealed cart bearings and alloy cups, just after my money back, £30 posted. Email in profile. Thanks.
