   For sale is my beloved custom Merlin Malt 1. You will understand what i mean when i say that this is my first love, it's the bike that got me into riding again.

   Full spec:

   15 inch merlin malt 1 frame
   Mavic 321 rims
   Hope XC hubs
   Shimano XT - shifters, cassette, front and rear mechs,
   Shimano deore crank
   Avid Juicy 7 brakes
   Thompson seatpost
   Easton ea70 bars and stem
   SRAM chain
   Marrzochi bomber 100mm forks with ETA travel adjustment - similar to lock out
   Magnesium sealed bearing peddles
   Continental tyres
   Hope blue QR skewers

   I am selling reluctantly due to the fact i have a baby on the way, so i need all the money i can get.

   There are of course the usual rub marks on the crank and from cables, the odd few scuffs from riding out on the trails. Headset needs greasing up, or replacing. For more info or pictures please contact me and i will help as much as i can.

   Listed on ebay starting bid £375, so there's a chance the price may rise a little, if you are genuinely interested, please contact me. I would remove the listing for a quick sale.

   Hi,

   Spotted this on eBay too as a potential for the other half. Couple of quick questions though, if you wouldn't mind.

   How old is the drivetrain?
   When were the forks last serviced?
   What brand is the headset? Probably have replacement bearings in the shed you see.

   Hi, the drive train was replaced a couple of years ago, the headset is a standard merlin one so nothing fancy and the forks were serviced a few years ago too. Since then it has hardly been ridden as i bought a SC heckler. It was always washed and oiled properly after each ride and stored well.

   The brakes could do with the cables shortening because the shop that fitted it didn't explain that they would've charged extra to trim them as they came pre-bled so just required fitting. It's only an aesthetic thing and has never hindered the ride in any way.

   I have had a private offer from a friend for the bike, but because of the amount of interest on ebay i am going to see how it goes in the next few days as i may get more for it. If you genuinely wanted the bike i would rather sell off ebay as i wouldn't have to pay any fees If this would appeal to you or you need any more info, reply to my email at sargyuk81@yahoo.co.uk.    PS the bike was bought around 2007/8, the forks and the rims are the only original parts. Everything else has been bought over the last few years.
