Kona Jake the Snake Cyclo-cross bike.
56 cm (I'm bang on six foot and I'd say it fitted me fine).
If I'm honest, this is a fairly basic build, and it's fairly old though. It all works fine (or it would do if I could set up cantilever brakes properly...)
I got this second hand on here a few years ago, so I'm not positive of age, but I think it's a 2004 model. I think the spec was changed before I got it but it's now roughly as follows:
Kona Jake the Snake frame, gold colour. Black steel project 2 fork.
Rear wheel - open sport rim, tiagra hub.
Front wheel - no idea.
Triple chainring, no idea what.
Shimano SORA shifters/brakes (the ones with a little tab to shift down, rather than a paddle).
On-one canti brakes.
Maxxis locust tyres - the front one's ok. The rear is heavily worn and has a (patched) split in it. This needs replacing soon!
I realise I'm making the bike sound like a nail, I just want to be honest about the spec. It's still a great frame, and, although it's a basic spec and fairly heavily used, everything works fine. (Four hour rides through the Cotwolds mud with no issues.)
I'm looking for £175, (low price to reflect spec and ware - plenty of space to upgrade!) but am open to offers. I can definitely do photos, but I'm based in Bristol and prefer to sell bikes in person, so you can get a look at it.
Email me if you're interested.
