Clearing some space and trying to raise some ££s for a new bike, so now that I don't do an occasional commute by train (this is allowed on
) the Cadenza is surplus to requirements. This is the bike:-

This is a medium (18") size. It takes guards and a rack. More pix are here. It's in excellent condition, only one mark on the fork, shown.
It's the 2006 model - the Dahon archive seems to have disappeared - although the spec on mine came with the better Sugino cranks rather than Truvativ: I also swapped the Chen Shing BB for a Shimano one as it was creaking after 2 rides, it's been happy ever since.
Other items are WTB rims, Conti Sport Contact tyres, Avid V-brakes, Cane Creek ergogrips, WTB Rocket V saddle and suspension seatpost. The stem slides up/down easily for rapid set-up if you decide to take it off for really small fold-down, and so doesn't affect the headset/fork.
I saw someone at a station the other day with Reba forks on this bike - nice! I was very tempted to do likewise, or maybe some carbon forks, and make it more off-road oriented. As it stands it's a seriously nippy bike, a MTB frame + wheelset with road transmission which can happily deal with towpaths + fireroads in its current guise. I've generally only used it to pop into town, done about a dozen trips to the station when we lived in Wiltshire (about a 35 mile round trip), and one towpath ride from Hungerford to Reading.
Although they don't make this version anymore, they do go on eBay for around £250 - £300 plus postage. The new version is anywhere between £500 and £600, it's heavier and takes longer to fold.
For a quick sale I'm looking for £225 o.n.o. posted / would deliver within 30 miles of here (near Shepton Mallet). My e-mail is in profile. PayPal Gift preferred, please.
