I've got an excellent set of cross or winter road wheels for sale: DRC CX/R rims on Hope Pro 3 hubs (130mm spacing), 32f/36r, shimano freehub, built with straight gauge spokes by Big Al of Wheelcraft. I got these on a secondhand bike i bought, which I've since converted to campag to match the rest of the fleet, so these are surplus to requirements. These are very well spec'ed: Hope hubs need no introduction; the DRC rims (CXP33 lookalikes) are solid and the wheelset is tough and stiff; Big Al is legendary for his wheels!
The wheels are in generally excellent condition: the rims show very little wear; both wheels are true and evenly tensioned (i've had them on my truing stand and checked); the front hub is running super-smooth; the rear hub has a very slight hint of roughness (one of the hub body bearings) but is still fine - I'd run this through the winter and replace the bearings in the spring (literally a five minute job - hope bearings are very easy to replace); the freehub body has a some light notching, which i've filed away. The pawls are recently cleaned/regreased.
These would cost you £350 new - I'm looking for £160 ono. The wheels are in London or I'm happy to post.
