I'm the second owner and they are in good overall condition having sat in my garage since April last year. There is a small nick on one stanchion which you can see in the photo (I purchased them like that) and it has not affected the performance of the fork. The fork legs have the odd scratch and cable rub mark as you would expect from a fork that's nearly 3 years old.
The soft spring fitted is very plush but I will also inclde a medium spring which should suit riders up to 14st or so.
