Want to stick a 'fender' style guard on for our impending scottish winter gloom. Had a fitter one for my old marzochi's and a shockboard for my old RS's – however my Pikes have a capped steerer (closed off with a tiny hole only) so can't see how the normal plug in fitting will work.

Is there a product that will fit – don't really want to go down the zip tie route if I can avoid!

It's a 6mm threaded hole in the bottom of the steerer tube. I use a Topeak Defender on mine. Simply throw away the plug thingy and use a 6mm bolt instead. Bit of Locktite and the job's done.

use a neoguard or similar. far more effective.

Or you can simply bolt one of the THE guards onto it using the hole in the bottom of the steerer. Works for me anyway.
