my front mech (105) was rubbing on my chain – so I set about trying to stop the rubbing. which I did.

but the up shift now takes a lot of force to shift up

it also needs a hard push to drop it back down into the small ring

have I moved my H limit screw too much to the left and then tried to put too much cable tension on to compensate?

    any ideas?

Is it catching on the outer teeth? I had this and the front mech had slipped down the seat tube slightly. Moved back up and all good.

Pull the cable with your hands instead of using the shifter. If it shifts fine then it could be your cable tension. if it doesn’t shift properly by pulling the cable then it’s probably your H or L limiters.
