If I book a train to Strasbourg through Eurostar, does anyone know if that means I have to get a specified TGV train, or is it flexible so I can get a different one to what’s suggested?

I’m currently looking at a trip to Strasbourg, and weighing up Eurostar vs flying to Basel. Flying is quicker and slightly cheaper, but a bit more hassle. If I can spend a few extra hours in Paris by getting an earlier TGV out of Strasbourg then that’d probably sway it in towards Eurostar…

    Edit: Sorry, wrong forum!

I don’t know the answer to your question, but having recently looked at booking tgv/eurostar tickets and being very annoyed with the eurostar website (different trains show up depending on which regional site you are on .co.uk vs .fr), I found this place via seat61: https://loco2.com/

    Much easier to use!

Usually with the TGV you can change the ticket any time using the machines in the station, and they will either charge or refund the difference. You might be better off just booking both tickets separately though, use http://www.voyages-sncf.com/en for the French side.
