Are there any Lodge members in the house?

Contrary to popular belief we are not a secret society.

I belong to 3 branches of the order in the Province of Antrim

    Any more?

the thing about having to believe in a supreme being puts most rational and sane people off….

    …so I'm guessing there are a few members here…. 😀

honestly I would be black balled or very diapointed that I was not 😉
I know where local lodge is they areopen about it and I know a few memebers but it seems they are all in it for "business reasons" – one is amoral to55er but that is probably not the lodges fault.

Worked in their big meeting house In Gt Queen St

Very impressive building and is the external view they depict as MI5 HQ in Spooks

Stil a weird old crew though and thought to be too influential in the places of power

I know quite a few and they all get very edgey when I mention the subject.

Is there not some internet equivalent of rolling up your trouser legs and doing a silly handshake to communicate your affiliation?

    but what's the point….?

i was a member of the cubs because upon joining they gave you a tube of smarties. you ate all the smarties in one go and were supposed to fill the tube with 1p coins. upon doing so you'd be given another tube.

a mate and i worked out that you could buy three new smartie tubes with a tube full of 1 pennies. we gave up going after that.

    is the freemasons similar?

i'm always a little wary/distrustful of clubs/membership groups. i think there is something wrong with people who wish to 'belong' to a group. it's like seeing the local mtb club out – all with matching jerseys.

what are the benefits of being a freemason. is it like the illuminati?
