Hiya,
I have removed a set of bearings from my DT Swiss Cerit hub and have noticed that the freehub bearing is crushed slightly on the outside (drive nut side).
I have installed a new set of bearings and have noticed that once done up tight as per the instructions the wheel does not really spin.
I loosend the securing nuts so they are hand tight and it spins fine.
Took the hub apart and found once again the bearing has been crushed on the outside.
1) Is it OK to ride with the lock nuts hand tight?
2) I think the problem may be caused by the circlip that holds the freehub bearing in place, is it OK to remove this as the lock nuts will hold it in place?
3) Any other thoughts?
