Im wanting to get some decals made up. The printer wants vector information, which I guess is CAD or similar. I have CAD LT2000 at home, but was thinking if there is anything else I could look at. Hand drawn lettering only, nothing too crazy.

Or is there a way of lazer printing my own? I guess would not be stable in the longer run and would want laquer over the top?

Try not to use CAD software for vector graphics for print. I’ve seen some very messy vectors created by CAD software.

That Inkscape software looks like it may be OK as it can output to SVG, PDF and EPS.

If it’s a one-off then free months trial of Adobe Illustrator? Like Inkscape only good, and likely what the printer will be using.

If they’re solvent printed with a laminate they’ll outlast the bike. Lacquer over the top gives the best finish though as it’ll be smooth.

If all you want is a single vector outline I think you’ll be fine with Inkscape.

See you back here later tonight when you can’t make the pen-tool work XD

Inkscape is fine, save as PDF. Printer will add bleed and cut lines if required.
Also able to look at this if required, can print and cut also..
