Anyone know of anywhere that’ll strip an alloy frame in West Yorkshire? I’ve heard bead blasting them is baaad so ideally an acid dip kinda thing.

Or I’ll pay someone to nitromors my Blur (the missus is going ape sh*t and telling me I can’t strip something with nasty chemicals in the yard!)

Nah, Bob Jacksons seem to be pretty pricey and their turnaround last time I asked was verging on obscene.

big_n_daft – thanks for that. Was planning on purely stripping the frame and polishing it myself but it looks like those guys know what their doing when it comes to bikes AND they offer metallic and candy paint jobs! Yummy – gonna call them today and get the frame booked in for next week!

Triple S powder coated my old Lambretta. They are very good and have a good reputation amongst bikers. They are only a 2 minute walk from my house and last time I called in the candy colours sure did look tempting, but they are more expensive.
