I have recently had a crack at restoring an old tandem. The restoration so far hasn’t stretched to paint but now a mate wants to use it at his wedding in September and has offered to pay to refresh it.

I’ve not painted it so far as I wanted to take it to a proper place like Argos and have the colour matched and decals recreated. It also has an EBB in there that I have no idea how to remove and I don’t think powder coating would be appropriate.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good frame repainters, ideally near Derbyshire, who could do the job and a rough idea of price? I accept that it will cost more due to the extra amount of paint.

Mercian in Derby would be worth a call.

Although September may be cutting it fine for them!!

Vernon Barker at Dronfield would do a top job.

The website says they’re closed, the facebook says back to normal.

Delighted with the work Dave Yates did on my Dekerf. Disc mount added, can’t bosses off, dents filled, cable stops replaced with hydro guides, respray with fork done to match. The paint looks ace and gets lots of approving comments.

All costs are on the site. Can add up if you’re getting lots done (eg that lot ^) but it’s on a par with others I checked

They’re in Lincolnshire, so not a million miles away from you. They put me in touch with a guy for decals, he’s got a huge catalogue of vintage stuff.
