Any options / recommendations for a frame for an os map?
Obviously bespoke from a local framer is an option, but something off the peg is likely to be cheaper and easier.

    Do it yourself?

Map size (or slightly bigger) 6mm plywood/mdf and glass, and a length of moulded frame. 4 decent mitre joints and you’ve done it.

The framing will have to be big enough to have a 12mm rebate to accommodate the 6mm ply/mdf and 4mm glass. Fix hangers/mirror plates to the frame

    I’ve done a couple – works well.

    Try ringing a local framer…
I had some certificates (5m swimming and ’employee of the day’ – it’s easy when you’re the boss…) to frame and thought there’s no way it would be cheaper in a real store.
It was cheaper in a real store.
    I literally died of shock*.

We charge around £40 to frame a map. Depends on the frame obviously.
Can’t stick down the custom printed ones(the ones with your house right in the middle, for example) so they never really get totally flat.
Older ones can be dry mounted so the folds etc mostly disappear.
