  • Fox FIT Cartridge Fitment ~ DIY Job?

My fox vanilla 140 fit RLC have started creaking. I’m on holiday so can’t check by fitting a different fork, but I fear it may be the CSU. My hardtail has an older open bath RL vanilla. In theory the FIT cartridge should fit the open bath fork. Anyone done it as DIY job?

If it’s the same CSU then it’s a simple swap over, unbolt the bottom, drain the oil, unscrew the damper and drop in the new one, tighten the base nut,top the lubricating oil up and screw the damper in fully.

So many fox RLC’s have had their CSU’s replaced recently.

I sent my fox to mojo for a service to have my CSU replaced FOC but mine weren’t creaking.

few threads on here of people recently having their CSU replaced.

have you spoken to Mojo and asked them?

I don’t think they’d change mine, they’re about 5yrs old. It may not be the CSU. I’ve greased the crown race and it seems quiet so far…..
