On the face of it this looks a pretty complex shock to set up

    Anyone got any tips?

    air or coil?

coil – the settings in the manual are a good stating point, or alternatively get TFtuned to PUSH it to your liking and don't worry about it again…..

air, ebay it and get a PUSH'd VAN R….

    Like any Shock

Set the boost / compression damping/piggyback to the manufacturers recommended pressure for starters (150 psi)

Set the sag by fitting the right spring. Use the TF spring calculator if in doubt

Set the rebound so that when you drop the back end of the bike from around 2 feet from the floor it doesn't bounce up at all.

Add pressure to the piggyback for more compression damping if you feel like you are eating through your travel too quick.

Experiment with propedal, adding a little at a time. You may need to reduce the pressure in the piggyback when increasing propedal.

Wind in the bottom-out adjuster if you experience any harsh bottom out.

Basically make sure you take your shock pump with you when you ride it the first few times…

get spring sorted then find a trail you can hit multiple times with a big drop (as big as you can manage, some small bumps and some climbing nearby and set off with the shock pump and alen keys for the bottom out. Spend a couple of hours and sort it out by feel
