I just bought a set of 2007 Fox TALAS forks from fleabay, and they arrived today. I’ve had a quick play with them (ooo-er missus) and found that I couldn’t seem to get them down into the 100mm setting. They go to 130mm, but not down to 100mm. Am I right in assuming the amount of stantion visible should drop by 30mm when they go from 130 to 100mm mode and that it’s not just an internal change? Anyone else had this problem on their forks? I’ve compressed them down as far as I can – even with the air pressure set quite low.

Had a similar problem with some 36s before.
Pump them up high (150lbs) then tun them upside down and release all the pressure whilst pushing the fork legs down at the same time. I had a load of gunk come out (repeated the process about 6 times) and then: hey-presto, they all worked splendidly!
