Got a 'dale Prophet and when Cannondale stuck Pikes on them they also put on a huge 18mm headset spacer on the bottom of the headtube so the top of the forks didn't get swiped off in a crash. Mine originally came without this spacer and I preferred the way it rode without it, so to avoid crown tops and downtube smacks, what are the lowest crown 140mm forks around? Or any other ideas to stop the bars swinging right the way round in a crash?
