Afternoon, I’ve got an old 2004 Orange 5 & I’m lookign at upgradign the rear shock and the forks.

I’ve currently got the original 2004 Fox Float 100R forks and wondered if anyone knew if I could run forks with slightly longer travel without adversely affectign the ride? Any suggestions for suitable forks or rear shock would be appreciated too.

What’s your budget? Coil or air for each end?

I’m looking at air both ends, only really had fox forks in the past so not sure about anything else. The rear shock is a manitou swinger at the moment

Probably lookign at £300 for the forks and £150 max for the shock.

If you want new then you’ll be looking at RS Sektors or Manitou Minutes at that price and then maybe a Rock Shox Monarch on the back. Cheapest Fox rear air shock is £220 I think. Might get one that fits in a sale though.
