    …for my Solaris build?

    Fox 32 Float 29 100 RLC FIT QR15 Non-Tapered

    Or

    RockShox SID 29 Dual Air RCT3 100 Maxle-lite Tapered

Heart says Fox. Head says RockShox. Both similarly priced. Which would you go for and why?

I would go for the SID durability will be loads better.

Fox if you can live with a thoroughbred that needs frequent attention

RS if you just want to ride

Tapered steerer makes a noticeable difference

Fox for better performance, the sids need as much attention with lower services due to the small amount of lubrication oil in each leg (5 to 8ml)

Thanks so far folks. I’ve not used RS forks before, hence the questioning.

I’ve never had any problems with Fox forks. Although I do clean them regularly and they are serviced at least once a year.
