    2005 Fox Vanilla 130 RLCs

    love these old forks.
TRavel is changeable between 130 and 100mm with spacers; i’ve done it a few times. i got a frame out the metal bin at the dump (kinesis maxlight easton tubes) which is for up to 120mm. i know 130mm will be alright, but i keep wandering:

Can i set travel to 120 if i ‘split’ the spacers? by which i mean use other spacers i have around to have 20mm on top and 10mm below sorta thing…

can’t quite get my head around how the spacer work but i’m pulling them apart this afty so thought i’d ask

I did exactly that with ’05 Van Rs to go on my Soda.

You could get proper Fox spacers in 10mm increments which was what I used, can’t remember which way round they went but I’m sure you’ll figure it out!

    all done, easy enough.
20mm spacer at top on damper side instead of 30 for 130mm or 0 for 100mm

10mm above neg spring on sring side ( to provide top-out at 120mm) and 20mm above main coil spring (to make assembly correct length.

not tested yet but look all good
    yaldi!
