I’m looking to reduce the travel in my Fox FIT forks from 140mm to 130mm and have bought the required 10mm spacer. My question really is how long would it take the tech guys to undertake this work and therefore how much should I expect to pay for this to be done ?

All help gratefully received, along with any LBS recommendations to do the work in the York area or Barnsley.

    Thanks

I would do it while I was doing a lower service .
Which is basically lowers off, new seals and foam rings new oil in the lowers .
Then it’s just pop the top cap off the air side slide the push rod up and out pop in spacer and bosh it back together.
40 quid at our place .
Not local to you but around that much I reckon .
If you have half a brain you should manage it on your own though.

For just a spacer fitting if you didn’t want the lower oil changed £20 (5 mins) for just that job, but would do other stuff to forks at same time so would be longer if it was with full service inc. a spacer at £75.

    I’m actually an engineer ( 😉 ) though not a technician :-p
