There's a bloke on here – LoCo, undercuts Mr Flooks and is an ex-Fox man I believe.

Depends where you are I suppose. I've just had my pikes serviced at my LBS for a lot less that mojo/tftuned.

This is what I'm doing. £45 and don't need the hassle of having to post it off anywhere.

lbs won't usually have the tools to do fork bushings, sounds like you need a specialist.
Loco is new on the scene and cheaper, but TF Tuned around years and are well known for great service – make your choice.
    No disrespect to LoCo intended.

oh and of course you could just go to Mojo the offical fox distributer, as neither of the above IIRC can get fox parts (or have to go to mojo?) if you need new stantions/internals.

Have been advised that my Fox Float r needs attention. Shop advised Mojo…..they think i've blown through the re-bound.

I've perused the Mojo and TF websites, how do you contact Loco?

Hi just found this thread from the weekend, if you have any questions just mail them over.

Just to clarify althought he company is new I have worked within the industry for the last ten years including 3 as a Fox racing shox trained technician.

Fox do supply all fork parts to third parties (bushes, c.s.u e.t.c) it's the rear shock parts that they will not supply other than bushes, air seals and decals. However I will be offering Fox rear shock services in the very near future as internal damper seal kits have been sourced and tested.

Like I said any problems just drop me a line or a mail. 😀

Thing is, I very much doubt that for that prices they will be sizing the bushes. And that's the only thing you can't do youreself, the rest is just a few seals, some oil, a couple of screws and a circlip or two….

Had some very knocky F120s sent in to Loco the week before bonty 24/12, got them back in time and they survived the hellish mudbath perfectly – go Loco!

He'll correct me if I'm wrong here but it was some control washer type thing in the rebound that was faulty causing a knock between compression ending and rebound starting – not a shop job and a relief to get it sorted so quick!

It's the cleaning and inspection that takes the time, complete seal kits i.e Damper side, spring side, and wiper/oil seals and fluids cost almost £45.

Simple forks can be serviced by yourself if your carefull and practical. Some are very easy.

Personally I would do it myself or use a specialist, not a LBS. A specialist has more of a reputation to keep, most of my LBS are unlikey to be able to afford much in the way of specialist staff.

Cheers Gary, good result by the way 😀 . The issue was the base valve of the damper leg which was dealt with as part of the service.

They mentioned something about the bushings so I guess they'll check them out, but did say the price will go up a bit if they need replacing (which I think they do as there's a little play in the first few mm of travel). Still, I don't think it'll be any more expensive than TF and still don't have the bother of finding a box big enough etc!
