Meeting up with friends for a camping trip next weekend. We’ve stayed at Bracelands before which was fine but it is quite big and regimented so wondering whether there are any more secluded / natural sites we should be considering.

We’re in a T4 camper, friends have a largish family tent. Want to be walking distance to the river, dog friendly and hopefully have a pub fairly near.

We’re staying at Whitemead later in the year. Big and regimented so probably not for you (great for kids though – indoor heated pool)but it’s a stone’s throw from the mtb centre.
