£400K "UP NORTH" will get you a very nice 4/5 bed detached with a decent sized garden, and maybe 2 garages, in a very nice location.

I like it and would much rather live there than in a damn great house up north
Also nice to know that my house must be a cottage then, 112 years old and nearly as small,albeit not as pricy in Cambridgeshire
