Van Morrison – Knebworth Festival 1974.

A truly moving, emotional, angst-ridden performance from a talented young man 8)

One of the defining events of my life.

Bloody 'eck, Mr Whoppit – you must be older than me! IOW must have been amazing!

    58. Strange to relate – I found myself feeling kind of "semi-detached" from the whole thing at the time…

"Message to Love" is a film about the event. It just looks kind of sad and tatty, in retrospect. The "music should be free" movement, and so on 😕

    Frank Sidebottom at Glastonbury 1995.

I was walking past the cabaret tent late one night and looked in and I could SWEAR that through the cider bus haze, there was a bloke with a huge papiermache head singing versions of Queen songs.
