I am upgrading my pc in both root and branch.

Next on the list is MS Office (yes it has to be office, I can’t use Open Office).

I was thinking Office 2010. Any reason why not?

There seem to be a lot of download sites such as Coastal who I have never heard of, knocking copies out cheap-ish. Assuming I download the software, any recommendations of a pukkah, safe site to do it from where I won’t pay an arm and two legs?

Can’t you download for free from a MS sponsored site and just buy the license off Amazon as with some other MS software?

Are you still running XP?

Only concerns I’d have would be compatibility between newer apps and XP and also whether your machine has enough ‘grunt’ to run the later versions of OS (if you do upgrade) and Apps – they tend to bloat out a lot over time…

Win 7 now on 2013 MacBook Pro…I was using an iMac (2011)

The iMac is having issues so I will be going for a clean install once I have moved everything over to my laptop.
