    Anyone had this? Was it an easy fix?

    It’s a Toshiba btw.

    Speaking very generally,

    On the base of the laptop there’s usually two screws in each back corner, nipping these tighter should nip up the hinge.

    If it doesn’t work, IME you’re buggered, live with it.

    There’s a triumvirate of screws in each corner. Closer inspection reveals that on one side one of the screws is missing.

    You might be onto something.

    From taking our Dell screen apart, I’m sure they use a small stack of Belville washers to stiffen up the hinge movement. Its probably a case of tightening the stack up. It will be secured with a nyloc nut I’m guessing.
