Soapstone if you can find any … not cheap.

    Custom some from them?

Salvage yard in Glasgow (you’ll have one locally) sells old slate bases from pool tables, folks get them cut for fire hearths, I reckon they would be ace as are perfectly flat, smooth and are real easy to cut with a wee cutting disc.

    They’re not expensive.

Must be good with heat too.

Edit – just clocked your sizes – a ceramic tile will be ideal, and cheap.

It needs to be heat resistant but also absorb/distribute heat evenly

Looks just the job – would it withstand the heat of a fire directly on top?

Google fire bricks, the floor needs to be able to withstand 6 or 700 degrees C and it also needs to absorb and then radiate heat in order to cook the base.

Don’t forget to insulate under the fire bricks.

I recommend a bigger pizza oven!
