Jnr -8yo- needs something gripper as his feet slip during muddy races.

I was thinking of getting him these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dmr-v6-plastic-flat-pedals/ but having never ridden flats myself does he need special shoes, and if so what?

    Thanks.

They might be a bit big. My lad has some big plastic pedals on his Whyte 403 that I might change to Phase 2 bmx pedals, they are lighter and after applying griptape to them they grip really well.

As he grows so quick I just get hi-tops from Decathalon, I think they’re the walking range.

I may invest in a set of the new five tens when they are released (on the front page a few weeks back) but suspect he’ll be in adult sizes soon…

I found some DMR v6 plastic and kids five tens. The growing feet is certainly an issue!

    Chromag Radar youth pedAls?

If you can get on shorelines web pages,
Think Jon had a 50% off the last of his chromag stock?

Circa £60 from CRC. Spendy for growing feet though!

Thom uses these Stan – http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NC-17-Sudpin-Zero-Pro-Flat-Pedal-Black-/161802842504

Seems to think they’re ok and just wears normal trainers with them.
