Spotted these from some local engineers:

They look pretty sleek, will be keeping an eye on their product line.

Everyone wants to buy something that’s not yet for sale. Economics 101 that. Although, to be fair, I don’t like them. Nowhere near enough pins and a bit on the thin side. Not enough space there for your foot and a meager 9 pins isn’t a whole lot to hold your foot in place over rough ground.

They’ll last about five minutes in anything rocky. The axle design looks a lot like the Point One Racing pedals; sure the axle and body are strong enough but with the axle tapering to that small a diameter at the end, the bearings are going to be tiny.

The Point Ones have three uber small bearings at the end of their axle and I still managed to pulverize them into dust over three days in Verbier; and I mean pulverize them. When I took them apart and the dust fell out, I had to look at the service manual before I believed they had actually had bearings in them.

I guess the proof will be in the pudding errr eating!

Turns out I’ve actually met the folks who designed these (and they’ve test ridden them all over including the DH course up Nevis, I believe). These guys mash gear fairly frequently, I’d hope they’d be a fairly good tester but I guess we’ll have to see how they perform in the wild. Anyone fancy buying some for me to test :-)? (they are available to pre-order with a price etc).

Ooooh, per-order up now. Tempting, but wife would kill me as we are currently trying to sell a house.

Destroyed a pair of Canfield Crampons in a few months, same problem, small bearings at edge of pedal just self destructed. Got a pair of old Crank Bros 50/50XX’s with a grease port and I get about 18 months-2 years out of a pair and half the price of the crampons.

Thread posted by them a day or two ago appears to have been deleted as blatant spam. I did post in it asking if they also sell Viagra.

Shame they have to resort to astroturfing, puts me off a brand right away.
